The Eisbock is the bier of German legend. A young Bavarian brewer once accidentally left a barrel of bock bier outside on a cold night. The water in the bier froze overnight and floated to the top of the barrel. The ice was removed in the morning — concentrating the flavors and alcohol content of the bier. A happy accident. To make Eishaus, we purposefully recreated the process by freezing a tank of Farmhaus, our farmhouse ale.
