Each year, Brew at the Zoo features an animal that benefits from the Kansas City Zoo’s Conservation Fund, which aims to preserve wildlife at home and around the globe. In 2022, we are putting the Eastern spotted skunk in the SPOTlight! These animals aren’t quite as well known as their striped cousins and, unfortunately, their numbers have been on a steep decline in the Midwest. The Zoo participates in a health assessment project to determine the reason for the species’ decline in order to reverse the trend and also protect other animals from the same fate. A portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit the Conservation Fund’s work and help this vulnerable species and others. So it just makes “scents” for you to buy your tickets today!
