The Black Creatures: The Black Creatures make a point to blur the lines of genre while maintaining a recognizable cohesion; often times blending contemporary styles of pop, hip-hop, dance, R&B, EDM and soul with cinematic and storytelling sci-fi/fantasy elements and themes. With the complex approach The Black Creatures take to their work, fans young and old have consistently regarded their performances as surprisingly gripping and intensely enchanting.
Lilli Lewis: Trained as an opera singer and classical pianist, Georgia native and New Orleans-based Lilli Lewis has been a composer, producer and performer for over two decades. After carving out space as an African American queer woman of size, Lewis’ career has culminated in her album Americana being a top pick everywhere from NPR’s All Songs Considered to Rolling Stone.
Julia Othmer: Othmer’s voice is vibrant and emotionally potent. The child of refugees, Othmer draws from a richly cultured palette of experience to inspire her intensely human yet otherwordly songs. Her piano-driven performances are mesmerizing fusions of raw power, vocal artistry, and joy. Using music to connect to people and social issues inspires her. She is one of seven artists selected to represent USA for Global Music Match 2021.
