Träger
Brewed by KC Bier Co. brewer Chad Crawford, Träger is our version of a Baltic Porter. This is a dark lager bier with a surprisingly smooth malty character complemented by a slight roasty chocolate background.
Blessed Doppelbock
For the devout, the Lenten season preceding Easter has been a time of fasting and repentance. To sustain them during their Lenten fasts, 17th Century Paulaner Monks in Munich brewed a full-bodied Doppelbock bier, which they named Salvator, or “Our Savior.” Also known as flüssiges Brot, or “liquid bread,” our Doppelbock is brewed with all-natural, 100% imported German malt and hops for rich malt flavors of caramel, molasses and toasted bread, with moderate bitterness and a clean, smooth finish from weeks of cold lagering with pure lager yeast from Andechs, a Bavarian monastery brewery. This year’s batch of Doppelbock was blessed in the brewery’s cellar during the traditional “Blessing of Ale” by Fr. Nick Blaha of Christ the King, Blessed Sacrament and Our Lady & St. Rose.
